Sloppy Joes

I made the filling ahead of time and then reheated it for dinner which worked really well.
 Start off with a pound of hamburger, a pepper and onion
 Cook hamburger in a skillet


 While the meat is cooking dice up the pepper
 Dice 1/2 of a large onion or one medium onion

 When the meat is thoroughly cooked drain off the fat.
 Add pepper and onion to hot pan
 Add meat back

 Add 3-4 cloves of pressed garlic
 Add 1/2 cup of ketchup
Cook until pepper and onion are tender
 Add 1 cup of water
 add tabastco to taste.  I was out so I used wing sauce and that worked fine
  Add 1 t Worcestershire sauce, 2 T brown sugar, red pepper flakes to taste, and 1 T of chili powder and salt and black pepper to taste and 1 cup of water
 Simmer for about 20 min until most of the liquid is gone



 Toast buns on a griddle with a little oil be sure to pay attention or they might get a little burn like mine
 Spoon on bun

 Top with cheddar cheese. I usually put too much on the bun and have to eat with a fork but it sure is good.
