One Skillet Lasagnsna with Sausage

This takes one pan and is easy and yummy.  My husband usually asks or waits for me to offer and dish him seconds but he got more while I was in the other room.

Start with a 28 oz can on crushed tomatoes and add enough water to make 1 liter
Heat a large skillet with lid and add 1 pound of ground sausage or hamburger.  I like the flavor of sausage.
I had some extra mushrooms that I wasnt using and didn't want to go bad
Add 1/2 onion and cook until most of the liquid is removed from onion and mushrooms and meat is no longer pink.

It should look something like this.

Break a box or regular lasagna noodles in medium pieces about 2 inch size but they don't break evenly so what ever you get is fine.
Add red pepper flakes to taste.
 Add noodles to skillet
 Add tomatoes/water mixture to skillet
Also 8 oz of tomato sauce or puree to skillet too.  It will be full and turn to medium/ medium low heat.
Place lid on pan and simmer for about 20 min until the noodles are tender.  Stir occasionally.
Once noodles are tender stir in a couple T of Italian seasoning.
Dot Ricotta Cheese on to pan
Cover pan with a cup of grated mozzarella cheese
If your pan is broiler safe turn on the broiler for a couple min until golden brown be sure to watch so it doesnt burn.  If your pan is not broiler safe turn oven to 500
Put in pan and enjoy
